Army opened with a 59-3 win over Bryant on Sept. 5, then lost 28-24 to South Florida on Sept. 12 after blowing a 24-14 lead in the final five minutes. The Black Knights bounced back with a 21-17 win at Temple on Sept. 25.
Quarterback Cale Hellums ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns against the Owls, including a 3-yard score with 1:41 left that put Army ahead for good. The team piled up 279 rushing yards in that game and held the ball for 38:01. Jeff Monken is in his 13th season as coach.

Quarterback Blake Baker has 360 passing yards, four touchdowns and one interception this season. He fractured his hand in Week 2 and was ruled out for the Baylor game, according to FOX Sports, and RotoWire lists him as questionable against Army. Trey Kukuk, a quarterback, leads the team with 127 rushing yards. Receiver Jalen Mickens has 297 receiving yards.

Louisiana Tech has to get off the field on third down against an offense that keeps the ball for long stretches. Army has to avoid the late-game mistakes that cost it against South Florida.
