Ace Max Fried Gives New York Yankees a Good Chance In Game 3

Ace

Ace Max Fried is who the Yankees are turning to in the third game of the series in Boston against the Red Sox. Fried has been excellent for the Yankees this season. He is truly an ace. The Yankees need to win this game. It seems the Red Sox have the Yankees’ number this season. It has not been a pretty matchup for Yankee fans.

That said, each of the five games thus far has been exceptional. Of course, this is good for baseball fans, but the long games are hard to watch. The Yankees are hoping for a good game from their ace. Do you think that Fried can spellbind the Red Sox in the third game of this series?

A Preview of the Pitching Matchup: Will the Yanks Ace Dominate?

Fried will start this game for the Yankees. He has unquestionably been the Yankees’ ace this season. It is fun to think about what the Yankees’ starting rotation will be like next season. Gerrit Cole will be back from injury. Max Fried, who is the Yankees’ ace this season, will slot in as the Yankees’ number two starter. Carlos Rodon will be the number three starting pitcher. Luis Gil, who will also be back from injury, will be the fourth starter. The mercurial Clarke Schmidt will be the Yankees’ fifth starter. It should be fun.

Fried will look to continue his ace-like ways in his outing in this third game. He gives the Yankees a huge pitching advantage in the third game of this series. He has ace statistics. He is 9-1 with a 1.84 earned run average. Fried is also undefeated this year following Yankee losses. So, he has not only been an ace this year, but he has also been a stopper. The way he has pitched has been very impressive.

Going for the Red Sox will be Brayan Bello, who is just coming back from injury. Last season, he was very good for the Red Sox. This year, so far, he is just 2-1, but he does have a fairly good 3.95 earned run average. His return certainly adds length to the Red Sox starting pitching rotation. The 26-year-old right-hander won his last start, despite throwing only four innings. He struck out seven batters. Last season, he was 14-8.

Team Leaders

Coming into this third game, the Yankees are being led in batting average by Aaron Judge, who is hitting .390. Leading the Red Sox in batting is the injured Alex Bregman, with a .299 batting average. Judge leads the Yankees with 26 home runs and 60 RBI. The Red Sox are led by Rafael Devers with 14 home runs and 57 RBI.

Fried leads the Yankees with a 1.84 earned run average. The Red Sox are led in earned run average by Garrett Crochet. Fried has nine wins and Crochet has six. Carlos Rodon has 103 strikeouts. Meanwhile, Crochet leads Major League Baseball with 117 strikeouts.

Conclusion

The Yankees need a big pitching performance from Fried. He is undefeated following Yankee losses this season and is 9-1 this season. The matchup of Fried on paper gives the Yankees a big pitching advantage in this game. However, as we know, games are not played on paper. It may not matter that the Yankees have a pitching advantage in this game.
