Joel Embiid scored 28 points with 11 rebounds and 10 assists Saturday to lead the Philadelphia 76ers past the Milwaukee Bucks 127-116 at Xfinity Mobile Arena. The win moved Philadelphia to 3-0 to start the season, while Milwaukee dropped to 0-3.

Philadelphia jumped out early behind VJ Edgecombe, then pulled away for good in the second half as turnovers proved decisive. Jaylen Brown added 27 points and Tyrese Maxey scored 26 as Philadelphia got 81 combined points from its three leading scorers. Jaime Jaquez Jr. led Milwaukee with 21 points, but no other Bucks starter reached 16.

Key Moments And How It Was Won

Philadelphia jumped out early behind VJ Edgecombe, who hit back-to-back three-pointers late in the first quarter, including a 26-footer and a 25-footer, both assisted by Embiid, to push the lead to 16-24. Tyrese Maxey closed the opening period with a 46-foot three at the buzzer to make it 25-34.

Milwaukee answered with a 35-point second quarter and briefly tied the game at 44 after a Kel’el Ware running dunk, but Philadelphia’s defense tightened from there. The 76ers forced 22 Bucks turnovers for the game while committing only 11 of their own, turning 26 points off those Milwaukee giveaways into a lasting cushion. Philadelphia’s largest lead reached 16 points, while Milwaukee’s biggest advantage of the night was just seven.

Top Performers

Embiid’s line of 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists on 8-of-20 shooting paced Philadelphia, and he also went 12 of 14 from the free-throw line. Maxey added 4 three-pointers among his 26 points, and Edgecombe chipped in 17 points and a game-high 13 rebounds off 5-of-10 shooting from deep.

Jaquez Jr. led Milwaukee with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting. Kel’el Ware added 19 points and 13 rebounds off the bench. Kyle Kuzma had 14 points and 12 rebounds, Tyler Herro scored 13 and Ryan Rollins added 15. The Bucks shot 32% from three on 34 attempts and were outrebounded 62-40.
