Jasson Dominguez Suffers Shoulder Injury, Will Land on 10-Day Injured List
Jasson Dominguez has been able to prove himself on the MLB level for the New York Yankees. He was called up after designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton was placed on the Injured List and has gotten a good amount of playing time. However, things were a bit scary for a bit at Yankee Stadium as Dominguez went down with an injury. Let’s take a closer look at what happened and what it means for the Yankees going forward.
Jasson Dominguez injured his shoulder in Thursday’s game

In the series finale against the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez got the start in left field. On the first play of the game, things went south for him. While going after a fly ball heading towards the left-field fence, Dominguez would collide with the wall while making the catch. He would wind up staying down on the field and being carted off.
Dominguez would go into concussion protocol and test negative. However, he would be diagnosed with an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder. Ahead of Thursday’s game, manager Aaron Boone discussed how Dominguez’s defense has improved.
“I think he’s continued to get a little bit better all the time. He’s still got a ways to go there to reach his potential out there, because he is so athletic. But he has worked hard at it, and I feel like he definitely has continued to move the needle.”
With Jasson Dominguez heading to the Injured List, there is a chance that Spencer Jones will make his MLB debut. Dominguez has gone 6 for 30 with one home run and four RBI since being called up. It will be intriguing to see how long it takes for Dominguez to return to the field following the injury.
