Los Angeles Chargers-Wide Receiver Mike Williams Agree To 1-Year Deal

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers and veteran Wide Receiver Mike Williams agreed on a 1-year $6 million contract on Wednesday evening. Williams is no stranger to the Chargers. He played his first seven career seasons with the team. Last season he spent time away for the Chargers for the first time in his career. It did not go well. Williams began the season with the New York Jets and was traded midseason to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had 21 receptions, 298 receptions, and 1 receiving touchdown. How will Williams fare in his return to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025?

Los Angeles Chargers Offseason Outlook

Los Angeles is looking to build on a strong regular season that saw them make the playoffs. Los Angeles has followed that up with a busy offseason. They have improved their team on both sides of the ball in free agency. They signed Running Back Najee Harris, Cornerback Donte Jackson, and Cornerback Benjamin St-Juste. Los Angeles also re-signed Linebacker Khalil Mack and Cornerback Elijah Molden.

Williams is a shrewd signing for the organization. Los Angeles needed to upgrade its offense this offseason. Wide Receiver Ladd McConkey was Quarterback Justin Herbert’s only reliable offensive weapon last season. Herbert took a below-average offense to the postseason in 2024.

Final Thoughts

Williams will look to get back on track in 2025 for a team he is extremely familiar with. With LA’s offseason they should be one of the AFC’s best teams again next season.
