Conor McGregor teases fight vs Charles Oliveira after UFC 326
UFC 326 saw Charles Oliveira win the BMF Championship, but not everyone was impressed. It appears that Conor McGregor is ready to return to the octagon and is eyeing a fight for the title. Let’s take a closer look at exactly what happened and why McGregor is wanting this fight.
Conor McGregor is teasing a return to the UFC
If you were to ask a person to name a UFC fighter they know, it would not take long to hear the name of Conor McGregor. He is a box office draw for Dana White, despite not fighting since July 2021at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. Despite that, he has been teasing a return to the octagon, including following UFC 326.
After seeing Charles Oliveira win in dominant fashion over Max Holloway to claim the BMF Championship, McGregor would take to social media to tease a match for the title by writing the following:
“If they want I’ll spank charlie.”
It is unknown at this point if a match between McGregor and Oliveira would happen, but it is definitely something worth talking about. McGregor was one of the names being speculated before the UFC White House card was announced, but he wound up not being on the card. It was reported that he was supposed to fight Michael Chandler on that card before it was cancelled. Chandler would wind up fighting Mauricio Ruffy instead on the card.
It will be intriguing to see if Conor McGregor will ever have another fight in his UFC career or if this is all for nothing at the end of the day.
