World Cup 2026 Group C Preview: Brazil Set To Dominate
World Cup Group C is one of the easier groups in the upcoming championship to predict. This group has Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti. Brazil should win this group, and Morocco should be the other team to advance out of the group. Scotland is not that good, and Haiti is a feel-good story in the tournament, but not a serious threat to advance out of the Group.
The way these World Cup group previews will work is that we will briefly describe each team in the group, highlighting the likely prospects of each team and any big stories that relate to them. In group C, it is expected that Barzil is the greatest threat to win the whole thing. This is a lopsided group, with it fairly clear Morocco will advance from this group. In Group C, the most lopsided group in the entire World Cup?
World Cup 2026 Group C Preview

There are a few sure things in the 2026 World Cup. One of them is that Brazil will advance from Group C. This is not the same type of up-tempo Brazil Team that you are used to. The team is more patient. However, there is still plenty of star power to go around. Every player on the 26-man roster plays for a major team in Europe or Latin America.
In a team full of stars, Neymar, who made the team (and now might be injured), has 79 World Cup goals, two more than Pelé. Look for Vinicus Junior to lead the team in scoring this time around. This team, however, is more focused on teamwork. That should play better in the later rounds for Brazil. They will get the chance.
The second team that is likely to emerge from Group C in the 2026 World Cup, perhaps benefiting from the weakness of the group, is Morocco. Nicknamed the Atlas Lions, they were the first African team to reach the semi-finals in 2002. Manager Mohemed Ouahbi stresses discipline, which should bode well for this team to at least reach the quarterfinals
Morocco is led by defender Achraf Hakimi, who plays for Champions League winners Paris-Saint-Germain and may be injured. He takes pride in setting up his teammates and had three assists in qualifying. Look also for midfielder Ilias Akhomach to break out in this tournament. This is a deep and talented team that could do some damage.
Scotland, called the Tartan Army, is the third team in Group C of the World Cup. This is a fun team, but not a serious contender. They scored 2 two stoppage-time goals against Demaerk to qualify for this tournament for the first time. They are a physical, grind-it-out type of team.
Scotland is led by midfielder Scott McTominay, who is currently a goal scorer for the Italian team Napoli. He scored a bicycle kick in stoppage time against Denmark. Ben Gannon-Doak could be a breakout star for the team. He is a dangerous striker who is just 20 years old.
Les Grenadiers, or Haiti, are the feel-good story of this tournament. They ended their 52-year drought to become the first-ever Caribbean Team to qualify for the tournament twice. They are not a serious threat to advance out of this group, but if you are looking for a team to root for, this could be the one.
They are powered by the Island’s connection with France. Their best player is Wilson Isador, who was born in France. Jean-Richer Bellegarde is an attacking midfielder from Wolverhampton. He is noteworthy because he was going to play for France, but switched allegiances. Josue Casimir was born in Guadeloupe and was called up to the Haitian team last October. He scored the winning goal in the qualifier.
Group C Picks
Brazil and Morocco will advance. The Brazilians could win the tournament for the first time since 2002. Morocco is a skilled and dangerous team that could make the quarterfinals. Scotland and Haiti will not advance out of the group, though they are endearing.
