The Main Prospect The New Orleans Saints Must Select In 2026 NFL Draft (April Fools Edition)
The Saints have been in a mixture of cap hell and mediocrity the past few seasons. Ever since the Refball head around the world in the 2018 NFC Championship game, the Saints have never been the same. Well, in April, they have the opportunity to improve the team as a whole through the 2026 NFL Draft. The New Orleans Saints are now on the clock.
The Biggest Team Need For The New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints still have a lot of question marks here. The Saints’ goal is to surround their team with more offensive weapons. That’s why the Saints decided to make a splash by signing RB Travis Etienne. At a 4-year, $47.4 million contract? For a running back, when the team has Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller on the team?
Well, the Saints did get tight end depth in Noah Fant as well, at a solid 2-year deal too. Along with some offensive line signings, the Saints’ goal was to bolster the offense and bolster the defense. Oh, and also sign a punter as well to a 4-year deal as well. This Saints team needs more receivers, and we have the perfect man to fill the big need at receiver.
With The 8th Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft, The Saints Select – WR Osiris St. Brown (Stanford)

The Saints are doing it right by getting a member of the St Brown family to play for their team. It’s Osiris St Brown, the forgotten St Brown player. He is the brother of both Amon-Ra St Brown of the Detroit Lions and Equanimeous St Brown. Honestly, with Equanimeous being a free agent, the Saints should sign him back and have the St Brown bros as solid receiver pieces to the offense.
With New Orleans taking a chance on the 27-year-old Osiris, the Saints have the chance to play the long game. Especially in getting Amon-Ra St Brown to leave the Lions and come play with the Saints. Sort of what the Charlotte Hornets did by bringing Seth Curry to the team. Along with retiring Dell Curry’s number, there planting the seeds for Steph Curry to come to Charlotte. Saints should do that here; using a draft pick to get it done makes sense.
The best part is that Osiris has the word saint in his last name. He is perfect to fit into our culture. He can help guide other players on how to truly play like a New Orleans Saints player. Giving Tyler Shough another receiver never hurts, and he could be a good pairing with Chris Olave. Its a win-win situation for everyone involved.
The Saints Have The Potential With More Offensive Weapons
The Saints have so much potential on this team. Kellen Moore was a solid offense-minded coach last year. While he does have the offensive guru stink that most coaching candidates have, he actually has had more positive moments in his first head coaching year. He didn’t have much to work with, and getting 6 wins last year is a miracle. The win total last year was 5.5, and many picked the under. That is how bad the roster was.
Tyler Shough pick was a head scratcher last year, but he showed moments of brilliance last season. He just needs more receivers to work with, and getting Osiris St Brown is a nice pickup. While he has spent a few years away from football, he can get adjusted to the game again quickly.
It’s Time For New Orleans To Pull A Chess Move
This has the potential to be the biggest chess-type move we made since signing Drew Brees years ago. One last thing to mention with this pick, I am just kidding. Happy April Fools, everybody.
On a side note its a shame Osiris stepped away from the game when he did as he had a lot of potential. Injuries just suck and that foot injury he talked about years ago is terrifying. I hope he is doing well today because he comes across like a very decent guy. If he is reading this wherever you are, hope you are doing okay and remember its just a joke.
