Kenyon Sadiq Drafted No. 16 Overall By New York Jets In 2026 NFL Draft
Oregon Ducks Tight End Kenyon Sadiq was drafted No. 16 overall by the New York Jets in the 2026 NFL Draft. He was always expected to be a highly-touted prospect, but his draft stock skyrocketed following a performance for the ages at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
He ran a 4.39 40-yard dash, which was the best ever time by a tight end at the event’s history. Sadiq also posted the second-best vertical jump for a tight end in combine history at 43.5 inches. Will a great showing at the “Underwear Olympics” lead to success in the National Football League?
Sadiq’s Fit In New York
Sadiq joins a Jets offense that features more offensive talent than one may expect. The team brought back Geno Smith this offseason. New York’s offense already included star Running Back Breece Hall and Wide Receiver Garrett Wilson. New York’s offense may be better than expected in 2026.
New York’s Busy Night
Sadiq was the team’s second first-round pick of the evening. The Jets took David Bailey out of Texas Tech second overall. The Bailey selection was much more controversial than this one. The rookie tight end should be able to make an immediate impact on a star-studded offense.
