2026 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Delivers Emotional Tributes and Memorable Moments In Las Vegas
The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony took place on April 17 at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. It presented emotional speeches, family time, career recollections, and celebrations of some of the largest wrestling personalities of all time. Held on WrestleMania 42 weekend, the event celebrated some of the most memorable moments, celebrities, and legendary performers who helped WWE shape its legacy.
Stephanie McMahon Gives An Emotional Speech
One of the standout inductees of the night was Stephanie McMahon, who was introduced by her mother, Linda McMahon, and her three daughters. Her speech reflected on a lifetime in the wrestling industry, from her early work behind the scenes to ultimately becoming one of WWE’s top executives.
Throughout her speech, the audience erupted in thunderous cheers in honor of Vince McMahon as Stephanie recognized the role her father played in the organization. She also reminisced about her relationship with Triple H, telling her that it had started when he first took an interest in her.
Stephanie reflected on her journey from being a working girl in the control room to Co-CEO in WWE. At the end of her speech, she had a memorable moment as she adopted her traditional “Queen” character and instructed the audience to enjoy her glory and gave them a heel type promotion.
AJ Styles Looks Back On Retirement and New WWE Position
AJ Styles was presented with a standing ovation when he came out wearing a blue tuxedo and was inducted by old friends Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. After retiring following the 2026 Royal Rumble, Styles responded to “one more match” chants by saying he no longer misses active competition, as retirement has allowed him to spend more time with his family during important moments.
Styles also confirmed that he has begun a new position with WWE. He will be involved in scouting and talent development. He explained that his focus is now on helping identify the next generation of standout performers.
Dennis Rodman Brings Celebrity Flair
NBA star Dennis Rodman was welcomed to the Hall of Fame Celebrity Wing, being presented by Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman. Rodman made his speech short but amusing, which added his personality to the ceremony. Rodman, who wore a “Hollywood Hogan” shirt, jokingly said that he would not have to spend much time since Stephanie McMahon was giving such a long speech. He praised wrestling for taking care of its own and closed with a lighthearted Hulkamania-style impression.
Demolition, the tag team featuring Ax and Smash, was inducted by Haku, The Warlord, and Arn Anderson. The two looked back at their almost 40-year legacy and 478-day tag team record. Smash, Barry Darsow, also recalled the time when Vince McMahon came up with the Demolition concept. They even took time to pay homage to the late partner Crush in recognition of his contribution to the group and to tag team wrestling.
WrestleMania III Iconic Moment Recognized
The legendary WrestleMania III match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant was one of the highlights of the ceremony. Jimmy Hart was also joined by Hogan’s son, Nick, and Andre’s daughter, Robin Christensen-Roussimoff, to present a trophy in honor of the legendary bodyslam that has remained one of the most iconic scenes in wrestling history.
Sid Vicious and Bad News Brown were also inducted into the Hall of Fame posthumously. Their families were there to receive the honors on their behalf. The induction of Sid Vicious was particularly emotional, as he is said to have desired to get the recognition before he died in 2024.
