Tatum Paxley clinched a hard-fought victory against Blake Monroe. This bout was at NXT Stand & Deliver, as she successfully retained the Women’s North American Championship. The contest was the culmination of a fierce feud that had been escalating in the preceding weeks, especially after Monroe caught several controversial headlines on the March 17 episode of WWE NXT.
Their previous encounter added emotional touch to this bout, since Monroe had once taken the title under questionable circumstances. But Stand and Deliver gave Paxley a chance to make a point and prove herself as champion in a conclusive way.

Paxley, in turn, came back with an enzuigiri. She performed several variations of the move, such as when Blake Monroe was thrown across the ropes, as well as when she was on the top rope. Riding on the wave, Paxley followed through with a superplex and switched to a suplex and powerbomb. Nevertheless, Monroe was resilient and kicked out.

Despite receiving heavy assault, Tatum did not give up and continued to fight back for her title.
Monroe hit Paxley in the head, and she fell into the corner of the ring that did not have any padding. Then Monroe did her move, the Glamour Shot DDT. In what proved to be a crucial moment, Paxley once again kicked out and refused to lose her NXT Title.
