Why Aleister Black’s Best Option Is To Sign With TNA

In the latest batch of cuts, Aleister Black was named on the cut list. With Black departing WWE, there has been a ton of speculation on where he could land next. Out of all the promotions, his best bet is to sign with Total Nonstop Action aka TNA.

Why Aleister Black’s Departure Was So Shocking

Excluding Kairi Sane, both Zelina & Aleister Black being on the cut list was super stunning and makes no sense. Not only because Black only lasted 1 year in his return to WWE, but there were big plans creatively with him for WrestleMania 42. The original plan was for Black to be revealed as the caller in that Randy Orton storyline. Unfortunately, TKO got too handsy in creative and forced Pat McAfee to be in it.

This Black’s involvement was scrapped, and now Black was off the card/storyline. What a tremendous fall from grace, and it’s clear that WWE had zero plan for Black from Day 1, and recently, with his release. Allegedly, because TKO wasn’t a fan of dark characters on WWE.

AEW Is The Last Place Aleister Black Should Sign With

With him leaving WWE, many would think Black could return to AEW. Especially with how Andrade El Idolo returned, but that does not seem to be the case. Black is not well-liked in that locker room, with how many current AEW wrestlers have spoken on social media. Tony Khan does not need to bring a headache into that locker room, and Black did not leave on good terms. Also, there really is no fit for Black in AEW with how loaded that talent is.

Aleister Black’s Stunning Fall From Grace

Looking back on Blacks time in NXT, it is mind-boggling how much he has fallen. This guy had the potential to be the next Undertaker in WWE, and he was poorly booked on the main roster. Honestly, his peak in WWE was that feud with the Velveteen Dream in NXT. Ever since that feud ended, it was all downhill from there. Then, after a disappointing first tenure, Black was released during the pandemic.

He had a disappointing tenure in AEW, and his 2nd tenure in WWE went so much worse. It also doesn’t help that there are health concerns with Black. He has been having back issues for a while now, and it’s no joke. It’s quite a fall from grace for Black, and there really is one place he could go to save his career.

TNA Could Really Use Help In The Main Event Scene

Out of all the promotions today, TNA makes the most sense for Aleister Black to sign with. They seriously need help in that main event scene, especially as all signs point to Mike Santana going to NXT once his deal expires. There gonna need a notable name to plug in on that top spot, and if Black joins TNA, that is an easy way to get a top spot in the business.

It would also be easy to get Zelina Vega (Black’s real-life wife) to join TNA as well. Before she joined WWE, she got her start in TNA wrestling as Rosita. She even won the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships in 2011. While she left TNA in 2013, it would be a perfect landing spot for her to go to. In fact, why not pair both together in TNA?

Could both do shows in the Independent wrestling scene? Absolutely. In fact, they could make a lot of money doing a storyline feud with Killer Kross & Scarlett Bordeaux. However, if they want more exposure, getting a deal done in TNA would make a lot of sense for Black and Vega.

Wherever Aleister Black Chooses To Go, This Is His Last Chance

This next destination is the biggest decision in Aleister Black’s career. It’s time to put up or shut up, as it’s not looking great long-term for Black. He has to choose wisely here, and the best destination here is obviously TNA. Hopefully, what he does next is the right choice, and he succeeds. He’s got so much talent, and he just needs to unleash it in a promotion that can book him consistently creatively.
