College World Series 16 Games to Begin With Regionals

Feb 27, 2026; Arlington, TX, USA; UCLA vs, Tennessee during the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field.

The College World Series begins today with 16 games in the Regionals. Regionals are essentially four-team, double-elimination tournaments for the top eight teams. Two teams play today, and the loser plays the third team tomorrow. If they lose, they are out. Saturday is an elimination game as well, with the championship on Sunday.

It is reasonable to expect the highest seeds, who are hosting this round of the College World Series, to win the tournaments at their home. However, to do that, they will have to win two games. Do you think the highest seeds will advance to the regional championships?
