The Birmingham Stallions are ready to kick off the UFL season. They were the champions of the USFL and will take on the Arlington Renegades in the first game of the spring football season. The Stallions had a lot of talent in the quarterback room, and many wondered who would get tabbed as the starter. That question has been answered. Former All-SEC quarterback Matt Corral will be the week 1 starter for the Birmingham Stallions.

Matt Corral came to the Birmingham Stallions in the offseason. He was named second-team All-SEC in 2021 before the Carolina Panthers drafted him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, he suffered a Lisfranc injury and missed the entire season. Corral never got another opportunity. He had to find another place that would give him a shot.
The Birmingham Stallions were happy to give him a shot. During the 2021 season at Ole Miss, he threw for 3,349 yards, 20 touchdowns, and only five interceptions. This was on top of 614 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. He has shown he can produce against stiff competition, and the Stallions hope he can dominate the UFL.
Birmingham Stallions Title Defense
The title defense for the UFL is unique this year. The Birmingham Stallions were back-to-back USFL champions and are now hoping to claim their third straight title. They definitely have one of the most stacked rosters. Corral is just the tip of the iceberg. They have a slew of former NFL players who simply did not pan out. Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Amari Rodgers is a perfect example. The speedy wideout never found his footing in the NFL and hopes to revive his career in the UFL.
The Birmingham Stallions will be one of the most fun teams to watch in the UFL this season. If you are missing football, have no fear! The UFL is here for you.
