The Denver Broncos are cleaning house. They have been active so far this offseason, shedding salaries left and right. Part of this is due to the Russell Wilson dead cap hit, but they are also trying to rebuild the team in Sean Payton’s image. Denver isn’t done. On Saturday, they traded a player who has been in trade rumors for years. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has reportedly been traded to the Cleveland Browns.
Denver Broncos Trade Jerry Jeudy To The Cleveland Browns
Trade: Broncos and Browns agreed to a deal today that will send WR Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland in exchange for two draft picks, sources tell ESPN.

Jeudy has been in trade rumors for years. The Broncos took him in the first round of the 2020 draft. His production hasn’t lived up to expectations. Jeudy’s best year was 2022, when he caught 67 passes for 972 yards and six touchdowns. He has struggled with injuries, which has limited his production, and a change of scenery might be a good thing for both sides.
The Denver Broncos signed Tim Patrick to a one-year deal, but Courtland Sutton is another name to watch this offseason. The team is being torn down to the studs. With new owners and a high-profile head coach, they want to completely remake this team. Cleveland is sending two picks to Denver, a 2024 fifth-round and sixth-round pick, for the wide receiver.
Denver Broncos Finally Get Ride Of Jerry Jeudy
He has been in trade rumors for the past three seasons. The right deal never materialized. The Browns are the beneficiaries. They get a young receiver for a low price. Cleveland is trying to beef up their offense and now has Amari Cooper, David Njoku, and Jeudy. If Deshaun Watson and Nick Chubb can come back healthy, this team could have a potent offense.
The Browns hope Jeudy can tap into his massive potential. He was a huge target in the 2020 draft class out of Alabama and never was able to put it together on the field. Part of that is the mess in Denver. The Denver Broncos have some work to do this offseason. They have to figure out how they are going to rebuild this team into a contender. Getting rid of Jerry Jeudy is another step in that process.
