Dez Bryant still has a huge voice in the NFL sphere. Any time a catch is questioned, the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver weighs in. He is also known for giving his opinions on what is happening in the league today. The Australia/New Zealand NFL social media account tweeted a question to the fans about Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Bryant had a bold answer.
Dez Bryant On Patrick Mahomes
7 or 8 https://t.co/gGMxfo4P6i
— Dez Bryant (@DezBryant) April 1, 2024
The account asked how many Super Bowls Patrick Mahomes will end his career with. Dez Bryant boldly claimed, “7 or 8.” This would put him either tied with Tom Brady at seven or give him the outright lead. Mahomes already has three, including back-to-back Super Bowls. This year’s team looks very similar, and they should be in contention for another one in 2024.
The scary thing for the rest of the league is last year’s team looked vulnerable. However, when the playoffs rolled around, they were able to find ways to win. Bryant isn’t going to doubt this team, and as the offseason rolls on, they will likely be a safe bet for a Super Bowl again.
Dez Bryant Isn’t The Only One
Dez Bryant isn’t the only NFL person who is optimistic about the future of Patrick Mahomes. He is 28 years old, which is when many players are in their prime. Quarterback is a position in which we have seen incredible longevity. Brady played beyond 40. Aaron Rodgers won MVPs in his upper 30s. Joe Flacco just led a Browns team on a playoff run. It is very realistic the Chiefs get back to the Super Bowl a lot under Mahomes.
An NFL season is unpredictable. Injuries happen, and in a one-and-done playoff game, one bounce of the ball can change the course of a game. Will Dez Bryant be right about Patrick Mahomes when it is all said and done?
