Jefferson was drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons out of the University of Florida. Jefferson spent parts of his first four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams. In October of 2023, Jefferson was shipped off to the Atlanta Falcons for a late-round pick.
Jefferson was a member of the 2021 Rams that won Super Bowl LVI. He had 102 receiving yards during LA’s playoff run.
Jefferson has 113 receptions and 10 touchdowns during his NFL career.
What Will Van Jefferson Bring To Pittsburgh In 2024
Also, Jefferson joins a stellar Pittsburgh Steelers receiving corps that includes George Pickens.
The Steelers are experiencing a transition at the quarterback position in 2024. The team signed the Super Bowl-winning Wilson and traded away former first-round Kenny Pickett earlier today.
Pittsburgh finished 10-7 last season to make the NFL Playoffs, even with sub-par quarterback play. Wilson is expected to be a massive upgrade at the position in 2o24.
But Wilson will be under immense pressure throughout his first year in Pittsburgh and Jefferson will be a key player next season. Jefferson will look to bounce back in 2024 as the clear second option for a team with playoff aspirations.
