New York Jets-Tight End Stone Smartt Agree On 1-Year Deal

The New York Jets and Tight End Stone Smartt agreed to a 1-year deal on Thursday afternoon. He is coming off the best season of his career in 2024 with the Chargers. He had 16 receptions for 208 yards. New York was reportedly intrigued by the 26-year-old’s success in the second half of the regular season. How will Smartt play in 2025 for the New York Jets? 

New York Jets Offseason Outlook

Following a nightmare two seasons with Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, it is a new day for the franchise. They hired Aaron Glenn as their next head coach and moved off several veteran players including Linebacker C.J. Mosley and Wide Receiver Davante Adams.

Smartt joins a New York Jets offense that has some talent. It includes Wide Receivers Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard and Running Back Breece Hall. The New York Jets also signed Justin Fields as their quarterback. New York’s offense struggled with Rodgers at the helm and should be better with Fields in control.
