Tennessee Titans-Defensive End Dre’Mont Jones Agree On 1-Year Deal

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans and Defensive End Dre’Mont Jones agreed to a 1-year $10 million deal on Wednesday night. He is coming off a mediocre season with the Seattle Seahawks. Jones had 28 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. Jones was cut by the Seahawks last week along with other veteran players. The team is seemingly going through a bit of a rebuild.

Jones began his NFL career with the Denver Broncos when he was drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.  He spent the first four seasons of his career in Denver before spending the last two in Seattle. Jones has 210 career tackles, 30.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. How will he fare with the Tennessee Titans in 2025?

Tennessee Titans Offseason Outlook

The Titans are coming off a rough regular season. It led to them having the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Tennessee has made a few shrewd moves this offseason. They signed Wide Receiver Van Jefferson, Linebacker Cody Barton, and Punter Johnny Hekker. Tennessee also re-signed Defensive Tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day.

The Tennessee Titans have made a host of moves this offseason but have not addressed the quarterback position. That sets the stage for them to draft a quarterback with the top pick in next month’s draft. They are expected to draft former Miami Hurricanes Quarterback Cam Ward at that spot.

Final Thoughts

Jones will look to strengthen a Tennessee Titans defense that was strong in 2024. He will join a Titans defense that includes Defensive End Jeffery Simmons and Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. Jones will give the Titans depth as they look to head on the path toward success.
