Olympic Games boast SmartWater bottle debut

SmartWater, Olympic Games

Despite the numerous water concerns surrounding the Olympic games in Paris, there is one safe aqua source this year. The smartwater bottle is on full display, as can be seen not only at the opening ceremony, but also throughout the games themselves. Much can be made of fashion choices and even athletic accessories that signify individual preference. Conversely, a message is also indicated when there’s something shared as a commonality. This is particularly true when these types of decisions come from well-established and influential corners. Many records will be broken and milestones achieved, but a relatively unnoticed first has managed to hide in plain sight.

All athletes are striving for gold this year. This makes the matching symbolism of the golden smartwater product that much more fitting. When displayed at the proper angle, the sparkle dazzles and does in fact give off the overused sense of aura that can come with the global event. Thousands were handed out to participating members of the various sports, as they floated across the River Seine.

History was made, as the Coca-Cola flagship water brand was able to officially be on screen and make a first-time appearance at the historic games. Having the backing of one of the premier brands always helps, and it’s paying dividends. All news is good news in the world of advertising, and the logo being on the screen of so many people throughout the coverage is only going to boost visibility with the public.

American athletes showing off latest treasure

Making it to this stage is remarkable. Regardless of how accomplished anyone is at their given ‘day job’, it’s always considered a high honor to compete for one’s nation. The overall experience and being a part of everything that goes on are a lot to take in. Understandably, the more stoic figures will often show great signs of pride and joy that are impossible to contain.

Anna Hall could be seen beaming with her pre-Olympic Games pose. As seen on social media, the featured element should at this point come as no surprise. The track star and field star from Boulder, Colorado, will look to bring home the gold in the heptathlon. This comes after breaking her foot at the 2021 Olympic trials and needing to recover from surgery earlier this year in order to compete in Paris. Overcoming this recent setback in time for the opening ceremony makes Hall’s journey especially remarkable.

Smartwater: Part of larger Olympic Games push

As reported by the Sports Business Journal, pairing well-known athletes and their stories, like Hall, with their products is part of their coordinated effort. They intend to market and position themselves for a growing, younger audience, and they view now as the best time to strike. According to the article, the company of the highly discussed water brand is one of five that is receiving strong backing through the end of this year’s competition.

Other notable athletes, including Simone Biles and Sha’Carri Richardson, will receive plenty of attention for their performances. However, they are to be a key component of the overall strategy that hopes to capitalize off the momentum of the event. Regardless of who you are watching, or which event, be on the lookout for the underlying product that is also making a splash at the highest stage. While competing for, and earning gold medals, another gold item will continue to maintain a presence at the Olympic Games.
