It is true that Odell Beckham Jr. will be visiting the Dolphins to showcase his skills.
A league source verified the move, which occurred about five weeks after Miami brought the star wide receiver in for a free-agency visit.
The Pro Bowl wide receiver signed a $3 million one-year contract with incentives worth up to $8.5 million.
All indications have been that the South Florida team was the team to beat for Odell. Although other teams made him greater offers, the Dolphins were, in his opinion, the greatest match for him.
It is worth mentioning that signing him to a contract will not impact the team’s 2025 compensatory picks since he was technically released this offseason.
Bulking up the Dolphins Wide Receiver Corps
The Pro Bowl receiver now joins the Dolphins after spending one season with the Baltimore Ravens
In that one season, he tied for third on the team with thirty-five receptions, but his 16.1-yard average was the best for the Ravens.
The superstar’s agreement occurred less than a week after the Dolphins selected two wide receivers in the 2024 NFL Draft: Malik Washington of Virginia and Tahj Washington of USC.
Beckham will pair nicely with Dolphins star receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Miami hopes that Beckham will take some of the pressure off of the two starting speedsters.
In addition to adding River Cracraft and Braxton Berrios back to the roster in the summer, the Dolphins also selected Erik Ezukanma in the fourth round of the 2022 draft, who was sidelined for almost the entire previous season due to a neck injury.
Beckham’s Stunning Career
The superstar wide receiver was taken in the 2014 NFL Draft as the overall #12 pick. He was set to make a base salary of $8.459 million in 2018 when he agreed to a new five-year extension worth $95 million.
Last season, the Dolphins watched Hill and Waddle falter to the finish line, giving this arrival a significant potential to beef up the third spot.
