The Charlotte Hornets know that this has been a low season. However, they have three key cornerstones. Additionally, people tend to discuss the Hornets as a bad team right now, but most view them as a franchise that could compete for a playoff spot in the upcoming years. Regardless, one of the three main pieces has a history of injury issues. Therefore, if these postseason hopes are going to be fulfilled, most view this player as the single most important to not only get back but also stay healthy for most of a regular season.
But do you agree, or does Charlotte need to do something even more drastic to enhance their playoff chances?
Another Lost Season For Charlotte Hornets

According to Shams Sharania, an NBA insider for the Athletic, LaMelo Ball will not see the court for the remainder of the season. He has been dealing with ankle injuries in the past, and it appears that the best option is to delay a return to the court. There was optimism that Ball would be able to play again this year, but apparently, everything is being shut down. The hope is that additional time in the rehab process will give him the best chance to make a 2024–2025 impact.
Dynamic Player When Healthy For The Charlotte Hornets
There is little doubt that Ball can be one of the best players in the league. His playmaking and vision are very hard for opposing defenses to contain. Therefore, it’s sad for fans to see him go through the consistent injury struggles that he does. He is one of the best players to watch and one of the more fun players to watch.
But too often he is unavailable for his team, and this is a narrative that he hopes to change. It’s hard to pick this Hornets team as a favorite to win too many games above .500. However, if fully healthy, especially against some of the weaker teams in the Eastern Conference, they should easily be able to make the Play-In.
Time To Consider Moving On For the Charlotte Hornets
Neutral fans and people from other fanbases want to see this work in Charlotte. Unfortunately, the lingering and ongoing concerns are just too many to overlook at this point. It shouldn’t be time to consider moving on. But another season of multiple missed games, and the Hornets organization will have to at least consider it. However, that is another issue for another day. In the meantime, the Charlotte Hornets hope to continue to build the team around their more available and proven players, Brandon Miller and Miles Bridges.
