Seattle Seahawks Nab 4th Quarterback Off The Board, Select Alabama QB Jalen Milroe
The Seattle Seahawks have transformed their offense in the offseason. It started when they sent quarterback Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders and also sent wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Additionally, they released veteran receiver Tyler Lockett. Once free agency began, they signed former second overall pick Sam Darnold to a three-year deal after his career year in Minnesota. In the 2025 NFL Draft, they may have drafted his successor. The team took Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Seattle Seahawks were probably in the market for a young quarterback. Darnold is a risk. He has had one good season, and it could blow up in their face. This makes the Jalen Milroe pick even better. He doesn’t have to come in right away and start. He can learn the system and playbook and possibly get some gadget plays next season. If he has a year or two to sit, he could come in and be a quality dual-threat starter. He didn’t gel with new head coach Kalen DeBoer but still had a solid season.
He threw for 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 726 yards and a whopping 20 touchdowns. We’ve seen dual-threat quarterbacks dominate the NFL in the past few years. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen just won the MVP because of his ability to rack up rushing yards. This is a pick that could become a huge steal if they can develop him.
Final Thoughts
The Seattle Seahawks have had a solid draft so far. They have filled some areas of need and already have plenty of young talent. The team came up short last year, and they seem determined not to have it happen again. Can they compete in a tough NFC West?
