Howie Roseman Wins 2025 Most Valuable Philadelphian Award
Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman was named the Most Valuable Philadelphian by the Philadelphia Visitor Corporation on Monday Night, otherwise known as an “MVP” for Philadelphians. Howie Roseman helped build the best roster in the NFL and brought the city the second Lombardi Trophy this past February. Roseman has been with the organization for 25 years, and this award means a great deal to him and the organization.
What The Award Means to Roseman
“I would describe it [in the way] Sinatra sang, ‘New York, New York’: You can make it there, you can make it anywhere. I’m proud to think that in the sports world, that’s Philly.” Roseman said to Zach Berman of PHLY Sports on Monday Evening. Howie has done a lot for the Eagles organization in these 25 years, including helping bring two Lombardi trophies to the Eagles organization.
Roseman is a perfect recipient for the second edition of the award. Many visitors will be aware of what the Eagles did during the 2024 season, and he was a key part of that journey. He signed the likes of Saquon Barkley and Zack Baun this past offseason and reinvigorated the energy of that team and the city with that Super Bowl run.
Final Thoughts
Howie Roseman continues to prove even more so with this funny award that he will “Bleed for the City” to keep bringing Lombardis back to Broad Street. The Eagles will start their quest for the repeat on September 4th against a familiar foe in the Dallas Cowboys. That night, I’m sure Roseman will make another impactful speech about the banner. Until then, he might make a couple more moves here or there to increase the chances of repeating.
Total Apex Sports has plenty more NFL stories on the site, as this is one of the wackier stories that we will have on there, but it’s great to see as an Eagles fan, Howie getting more recognition he deserves.
