KC Concepcion Inspires Many With Interview At The NFL Combine

KC Concepcion inspired thousands of people when he stood in front of the podium and did his interview in front of the media at the NFL Combine. Being that he has a speech impediment, speaking in front of a big crowd definitely wasn’t easy.

While he opted not to do the 40-yard dash, Concepcion tested extremely well in all of the other on-field drills. The star wideout from Texas A&M is expected to be selected in the back end of the first round, and his draft stock was boosted tremendously down in Indianapolis.

Concepcion Inspired Many

The clips of his interview at the NFL Combine went absolutely viral, with many discovering for the first time that Concepcion has a speech impediment and dealt with it his entire life. He embraced all of the positive messages on social media and later shared a beautiful message.

“I have had this stutter since I can remember talking this is apart of me this is who I am I cannot control this. I wanna be a role model for those who may be scared to speak up who may be afriad and not confident in yourself. I stand with you this weekend has taught me a lot about myself and people out here in this world. I appreciate everyone who supports me and has reached out to me after these interviews.”

“Don’t let an outside person thoughts, opinions get in the way of you being great of you achieving something in life. I am blessed to be in the position that I am in and I want to help give back to those who are scared to speak up who aren’t as confident. I stand with you I will always stand with you. God has blessed my life in a way I couldn’t even imagine in this past year. I love and support y’all as we climb this mountain together.'”

He showed tremendous confidence going on the podium and speaking in front of a ton of media members. His interview went viral all over social media, and Concepcion has gotten a ton of praise for setting an example for people who also struggle with speech impediments, letting them know they’re not alone.

His Draft Stock Shot Up

KC Concepcion ended up testing really well at the NFL combine in all the drills. He showcased his elite speed, great hands, and definitely impressed a ton of head coaches. The Texas A&M wideout is a sure-fire First-Round pick, and could jump all the way up to the early 20’s. If he’s put in a pass-first offense, he’s bound to put up big-time numbers and be a nightmare for opposing defenses.

Concepcion transferred to Texas A&M this past year from NC State and put up 900 yards and 9 touchdowns. He is often compared to Jaylen Waddle due to their similar frames and playmaking abilities. Waddle was taken 6th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft and was dominant in the slot alongside Tyreek Hill. Whoever drafts KC Concepcion will get a mentally tough and very good player, which is vital for success in the NFL.

Big Week Is Ahead

Now home from Indianapolis, NFL general managers and head coaches are preparing for NFL Free Agency as they look to greatly improve their rosters. With the legal tampering period opening on Monday, free agents will quickly fly off the board. So far, we’ve seen two big trades. Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams, and DJ Moore reuniting with Joe Brady on the Buffalo Bills.

AJ Brown is one of the biggest names said to be available on the trade market, with the New England Patriots emerging as front-runners. It’ll be fun to watch how everything transpires and what teams set themselves apart.
