Things have not gone as planned for the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2025 NFL season. From a team that was a Super Bowl contender to now missing the playoffs. It’s quite a fall from grace for this organization. So, what is there to look forward to, and for players to be motivated? Two words: bonus incentives. Out of everyone on this team, 3 players stand out for this franchise when it comes to bonuses.

Marquise “Hollywood” Brown Bonus Incentive

The Chiefs’ receiver core is an absolute mess. Besides Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, there third third-best target is Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. Well, he’s one to keep an eye on with the bonus he could be earning, and they are down below.

Receiving Touchdown Bonus

  • $750K for 6 total TD
  • $1M for 7 total TD

Receiving Yards Bonus

  • $500K for 500 rec yds
  • $625K for 625 rec yds
  • $750K for 750 rec yds
  • $1.5M for 1,000 rec yds

Current Stats For Brown: 42 Receptions, 494 receiving yards, and 5 receiving touchdowns

Well, it’s going to be a lot tougher to hit these incentives with the brutal Torn ACL Patrick Mahomes suffered. Brown will have Gardner Minshew throwing the football, but hey, Minshew is a solid backup. Worse for worse, he’s going to get the 500 thousand bonus for receiving yards. He only needs 6 yards and it would be a shock if he didn’t get it.

Kareem Hunt Bonus Incentive

Arguably, Kareem Hunt is one of the greatest what-ifs in Kansas City Chiefs history. Remember, the team cut him after the 2018 assault scandal, and he missed the Chiefs during the height of their dynasty. Imagine how the Chiefs would have looked if Hunt never did what he did.

Oh well, but at least he has some opportunity to make some money for these final games via his bonus.

Scrimmage Yards Bonus Incentives

  • $25K for 750 scrimmage yards
  • $125K for 905 scrimmage yards
  • $375K for 1,000 scrimmage yards
  • $625K for 1,250 scrimmage yards

Current Stats For Hunt: 557 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns

Hunt has a long road ahead of him, but from the incentives, he should be able to get 200 more rushing yards to secure an extra 25 thousand in the bank. The other incentives just feel like a long shot, but hey, anything is possible. Unless the Chiefs want to keep tanking for a Top 10 draft pick.

George Karlaftis Bonus Incentive

The Chiefs defense has been super lackluster this year. One player who has been a great player for the Chiefs is George Karlaftis. He might escape the season with a higher income if he hits the following incentives

Sack Bonus Incentive

  • $250K for 8.0 sacks (Currently at 6.0)
  • $500K for 9.0 sacks (Currently at 6.0)
  • $750K for 10.0 sacks (Currently at 6.0)
  • $1M for 11.0 sacks (Currently at 6.0)

Current Stats for Karlaftis: 24 tackles and 6 sacks.

Getting a sack in general is tough, and in the NFL, it’s probably the most challenging thing ever. Karlaftis can get some of these incentives. In their final games of the season are the Tennessee Titans, Denver Broncos, and Las Vegas Raiders. That Raiders game is going to make him rich, as that offensive line is absolutely terrible.

This season has not gone to plan for the players and ring chasers currently on this team. While they won’t be able to make the playoffs, maybe securing some extra cash in the bank will motivate them to play harder.
