Boston Red Sox Pick Up 10th Straight Win
The Boston Red Sox cannot lose. With a 4-1 win yesterday against the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston notched its 10th straight win. Center Fielder Ceddanne Rafaela was the star in Sunday’s win. He had two of Boston’s four RBI. This winning streak began with a three-game sweep on the road against the Washington Nationals. Boston then came home, where they took all three games from Colorado and four games from the Rays. Will Boston’s hot streak continue after the All-Star break?

Boston’s winning streak has them in third place in the American League East(53-45). The Red Sox have been paced by a strong offense in 2025. They are sixth in batting average, 10th in home runs, and fifth in runs scored. Right Fielder Wilyer Abreu leads the club in home runs. Shortstop Trevor Story leads them in RBI.
Boston’s pitching staff has been mediocre. They are 12th in ERA, 19th in opposing batting average, and 20th in WHIP. Starting Pitcher Garrett Crochet is pitching at a Cy Young-caliber level. He is third in the league in wins, second in ERA, and leading the league in strikeouts. The rest of the pitching must hold up their end of the bargain for the team to reach its full potential.
Final Thoughts
The Boston Red Sox will look for an 11th straight win when they head to Chicago to face the Cubs for a three-game set beginning on Friday. If Boston can keep playing this well, it will be a good summer for the team.
