One lucky team will draft LSU standout and future NFL quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels is scheduled to meet with multiple teams following his Pro Day performance. He has yet to meet with any teams he could potentially be a part of. The meetings today could spark teams to trade up or down, depending on how everything goes for the young LSU star.
Jayden Daniels College Highlights
After high school, Jayden Daniels played three seasons for the Arizona State Sun Devils. During his first three years of college football, Daniels amassed over 6,000 career passing yards and 1288 rushing yards. Combine his passing and rushing yards with his 45 total touchdowns, and you’ve got a player worth looking at. Daniels dealt with some injuries and had some up-and-down times at Arizona State, but it was his time with the LSU Tigers where he really stood out.
Jayden Daniels spend the next two years of his college career with the LSU Tigers. Here, Daniels recorded 6,725 passing yards and 57 touchdowns, 40 of which came in his final season. It helps when you have players like Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. catching the ball. Daniels was also able to rush for over 2000 yards and 21 touchdowns within those final two years. His talented arm and legs helped him receive the AP Player of the Year Award for Most Outstanding Player. Any team would be lucky to have him in their organization.
NFL Teams Meeting With Jayden Daniels
Six teams are planning to meet with Jayden Daniels after his Pro Day performance. Each team needs a quarterback, and all have talent throughout their organization to help Daniels develop into a Superstar. The Denver Broncos, Washington Commanders, New York Giants, New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, and Minnesota Vikings are all scheduled to meet with Daniels.
Jayden Daniel’s Possible Targets
Let’s have a look at who Jayden Daniels could be working with.
The Denver Broncos – The Broncos could pair Daniels up with veterans Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and recently acquired Josh Reynolds and the standout rookie from last year, Marvin Mims Jr.
The Washington Commanders – Daniels could help get the most out of the Commander’s WR room, which has standout Terry McLaurin and promising young WR Jahan Dotson.
The New York Giants – The Giants could use a true number one, with the best available players being veterans Darius Slayton and Darren Waller and a few younger players in Wandale Robinson and Jalin Hyatt.
The New England Patriots – The Patriots are in some serious need of WR help if they want to get the most out of Jayden Daniels. Last year, the Patriots rookie DeMario Douglas had some good plays but couldn’t stretch the field like Malik Nabers did at LSU.
The Las Vegas Raiders – The Raiders have an enticing WR room with superstar Davante Adams and a very consistent Jakobi Meyers. The Raiders may want more depth if they want the most out of Daniels.
The Minnesota Vikings – The Vikings have the most appealing team with former AP Offensive Player of the Year Justin Jefferson, veteran TJ Hockenson, and standout Jordan Addison.
