WWE Raw Shocker: Oba Femi Destroys Waller As Seth Rollins Targets Bron Breakker
This week’s episode of WWE Raw delivered a packed card with big physical performances, emotional tag-team drama, a heated verbal exchange, and a shocking betrayal from a family member of Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu. This episode set up several storylines for “Backlash” and featured several rising and veteran wrestlers.
Grayson Waller vs Oba Femi
Oba Femi’s rise on WWE Raw continued with a blowout victory over Grayson Waller in a less than four-minute match. Femi had all the strength Waller could handle from the start of the match.
Waller tried to play the agile game, attempting to avoid the powerhouse early in the match, but Femi put him out of the match by catching him in mid-air in a rolling move and driving him across the ring with a release German suplex. Waller’s efforts to turn the tables only resulted in further abuse, including a botched attempt at a rope-assisted neckbreaker that did not impact Femi.
Following the win, Femi grabbed a microphone and issued a bold challenge to the entire WWE roster. He announced the “Oba Challenge,” stating that anyone from WWE Raw, SmackDown, or NXT could step up each Monday night, claiming that no competitor could withstand his power.
Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez Defeat Bayley and Lyra Valkyria
In a high-stakes WWE RAW tag team encounter, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in a match filled with shifting momentum and emotional tension, especially in front of the Laredo, Texas crowd.
Perez got a positive reaction from the crowd at first because she was in her hometown. But shortly, she talked trash before the match, and things changed. She said she doesn’t care about her hometown and that she is fully aligned with “Judgment Day” now. The match itself saw Rodriguez dominate early by isolating Valkyria with her strength advantage.
Bayley made the tag and immediately took control, unloading on her opponents and nearly putting her team in a winning position. Chaos erupted in the closing moments when Liv Morgan, disguised as a fan at ringside, grabbed Bayley’s leg and distracted the referee. Taking advantage of the confusion, Perez hit the “Pop-Rox” on Bayley while Rodriguez took out Valkyria with a spear to prevent interference. Perez then secured the pinfall victory for her team.
Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker Set For Backlash Clash
The show opened with a tense confrontation between Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, quickly escalating into a personal war of words. Rollins accused Breakker of costing him his WrestleMania opportunity against Gunther and contributing to his vacating his previous title.
In turn, Breakker, with the help of Paul Heyman, counterattacked by calling Rollins “the greatest wrestler of all time at being number two”. Rollins returned fire with jabs about Breakker’s position in his wrestling family. After the dust-up, it was announced that they would face off in singles competition at “Backlash.”
Roman Reigns Confronted and Attacked by Jacob Fatu
The show ended with World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns’ family business. Reigns tried to reconcile with Jacob Fatu, promising him a title match at “Backlash” with the stipulation that he would recognize Reigns if he lost.
Fatu refused, saying he does not take orders from Reigns and wants everything that he represents. The confrontation turned violent when Fatu suddenly assaulted Reigns with a Tongan Death Grip and left the champion sprawled out in the ring as WWE Raw came to a close. WWE Raw offered up big-time wins, dramatic interference, and intense confrontations that set the stage for multiple rivalries for “Backlash.”
