The Dallas Cowboys are coming off another heartbreaking season. After going undefeated at home and getting the two seed in the NFC, they were bounced in the playoffs by the Green Bay Packers. It has left this team floundering and asking a lot of questions. However, the team still has a plethora of talent and with the right draft, could compete again in 2024.
Dallas Cowboys 2024 Draft Picks
The Dallas Cowboys have seven draft picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
- Round 1: #24
- Round 2: #56
- Round 3: #87
- Round 5: #173
- Round 6: #213
- Round 7: #231 (via Las Vegas)
- Round 7: #242
The Dallas Cowboys are thankful they got some compensatory picks. They are projected to get their fifth and sixth-round picks thanks to Connor McGovern and Dalton Schultz in free agency. Many of their own draft capital has gone out in trades. Deals for Trey Lance, Eric Scott Jr., and Brandin Cooks left the cupboards dry. Still, this team is full of talent with very few holes as they try to make a run at a Super Bowl.

Mock Draft Analysis
The Dallas Cowboys tried to fix their defensive line in the first round last year with Mazi Smith. While it is far too early to give up on him, taking Murphy is another depth piece on the defensive line. Jerry Jones can’t resist taking an offensive talent in round two. Roman Wilson impressed at the Senior Bowl, and the Cowboys need another quality wide receiver next to CeeDee Lamb.
From there, the team focuses on defense. That unit let them down against the top teams in the NFL. It was on full display in the wild card round when Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers walked up and down the field. While everyone wants to blame Dak Prescott, there is not much an offense can do when the defense gives up 50 points.
The Dallas Cowboys are desperate for a Super Bowl. This squad is their best shot in a long time, and the NFC is wide open. If they are able to find some great pieces in this year’s draft, they just might be able to get over the hump.
