Coppin State fell to the Lady Buckeyes 88-59 in the season opener. For Ohio State, against Coppin State, the Cambridge sisters led them. Jaloni Cambridge was the first in the game to score 10 points in the game against Coppin State, doing so in the second quarter on her way to 23 points total. Chance Gray (17) and Kennedy Cambridge, Jaloni’s sister, also had double figures. Kenndey Cambridge had a career-high seven steals, and Jaloni Cambridge tied her career-high of eight rebounds. The Lady Buckeyes started well against Coppin State, and will need the Cambridge sisters to meet the lofty expectations of the program. Coppin State Falls to Ohio State Women 88-59

The Ohio State women’s basketball team is 1-, they beat Coppin State, who is 1-2. The score was 88-59. In the game, Ohio State started quickly, building a 23-11 lead after 10 minutes. The second quarter proved to be more of a defensive battle, and the Buckeyes held a 32-26 advantage at halftime of the game with Coppin State. The Buckeyes’ offense worked well in the second half. They scored 29 points in the third quarter and 27 points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory over Coppin State.

Jaloni Cambridge was the first in the game to score 10 points, doing so in the second quarter on her way to 23 points, which was a game high. Chance Gray (17) and Kennedy Cambridge, the sister of Jaloni Cambridge (11), also scored double figures.
