2025 College GameDay Week 4
“College GameDay” will be held at Lakeside Patio next to the Shalala Student Center. The pit will open at 6:30 a.m. ET, and fans can line up early. Rece Davis hosts the three-hour show, joined by analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Nick Saban at the desk, along with college football insider Pete Thamel, reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims, and college football betting analyst “Stanford Steve” Coughlin.
Saturday marks Florida’s 43rd appearance on “College GameDay.” Miami last appeared on “CGD” on Sept. 26, 2020, when they hosted Florida State. The Hurricanes ultimately defeated the Seminoles 52-10. Saturday marks Miami’s 26th appearance on “College GameDay.”
Breaking Down the Game
Everyone is excited about this matchup. The Miami Hurricanes are looking to go 4-0 for the third straight season, and Beck is off to the best start of his college career. In addition, Miami Running Back Mark Fletcher has 272 rushing yards and four touchdowns in Miami’s first three games.
Miami won 41-17 last season in Gainesville to take a 30-27 lead in the all-time series. After playing every season from 1944-1987, this is just the ninth meeting since then. The Florida Gators are 1-2 for the second straight season under Head Coach Billy Napier. Despite losing to LSU 20-10, he remains confident in his team and that success will follow. If the Gators can pull an upset in Miami, that would be a great sign.
Through the first three games, the Gators’ defense has allowed just 9.6 points, excluding a special teams safety in the 18-16 loss to USF and a pick-six thrown by DJ Lagway against LSU. On the flip side, in the last two games, Florida’s offense has scored only one touchdown.
