They have moved on from the Mac Jones era, drafting North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye with the third overall pick. Maye had a stellar 2022 season and did not have as good of a 2023 campaign. The Los Angeles Chargers have signed former Baltimore Ravens running back JK Dobbins to a one-year deal. Dobbins has had injury issues the past couple of seasons which has prohibited him from being a top running back in the NFL. An undefeated season for the South Carolina Gamecocks was capped off with a national championship win against Iowa on Sunday afternoon in Cleveland. This is the South Carolina women’s basketball team’s third national championship in school history. The Iowa Hawkeyes narrowly defeated the UConn Huskies 71-69 in the Women’s Final Four on Saturday night. Despite Caitlin Clark only scoring 6 points on 3-11 shooting in the first half, the Hawkeyes pulled out the win.
