David Raya saving a goal

Mikel Arteta might already have an idea about his first summer signing. Arsenal could soon confirm David Raya as their first signing of the summer. Last summer, the Gunners had to comply with FFP regulations, so they couldn’t afford a permanent Raya swoop. Instead, they managed to secure him on a loan deal worth £3 million, with an obligation to sign him on loan. He has impressed in Arsenal colors! Despite missing six league games, he has proven to be the top goalkeeper in the Premier League, scooping the Golden Glove.  He’s been making some incredible saves game after game, keeping the most clean sheets (15 clean sheets in 30 games so far, which is seriously impressive).

Arteta: Jesus will not leave Arsenal this summer

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said on Friday the club has no intention of allowing striker Gabriel Jesus to leave the club this summer. Reports earlier this week suggested that Arsenal would be willing to listen to offers for the 27-year-old, who will have three years remaining on his contract at the end of the season. Jesus has scored eight goals in 33 appearances this season playing primarily as a striker but also out wide. The Brazil international has struggled with knee problems since undergoing surgery for an injury sustained at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

“My brain always takes me to the players lifting the Premier League, that’s what my brain is doing at the moment,” he said. “I just follow my brain and my gut and this is how I feel, and this is the way that I want everybody to think and hopefully we can achieve it.”

Newcastle United are pushing ahead with a deal to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the first move of what promises to be a busy summer of ins and outs at St James’ Park. Michael Carrick is expected to sign a new deal at Middlesbrough and commit his future to the club after interest from the Premier League. Howe previously worked with both Kelly and Ramsdale at Bournemouth, with the latter expected to move away from Arsenal this summer in a bid to revive his stalled career after playing second fiddle to Raya throughout the current campaign and being restricted to just 11 appearances across all competitions.
