Dallas, Texas Ranked One Of the Best Super Bowl Cities
RotoGrinders ranked the best U.S. cities for Super Bowl parties, based on party-ready factors like football interest, snack popularity, beer prices, sports bars per capita, median home size, and halftime show interest.
After evaluating 107 U.S. cities, Dallas ranked No. 3 overall, but the “Big D” wasn’t the only Texas city to stand out. Houston came in at No. 5, meaning that Texas placed two cities in the top 10. All of this shows that even the Super Bowl parties are bigger in Texas.
Super Bowl Study Findings
Dallas ranks No. 3 overall with a final score of 49.77. Obviously, No. 3 isn’t No. 1, but it’s still elite. From youth football to the NFL, the sport is essentially in the residents’ DNA.
Few U.S. cities take football as seriously as Dallas. A strong football interest helped push the city into the top three. With a median home size of 2,166 sq ft, Dallas is built for big at-home Super Bowl gatherings.
Beer prices are also relatively affordable at $3.13, which helps keep hosting costs reasonable. Even as the majority of beer prices rise, such prices remain on the lower end in Dallas. Although Dallas has fewer sports bars per capita than some of the top U.S. cities at just 0.77 bars per 10,000 residents, it excels as a host-it-at-home Super Bowl party hub.
In a football state like Texas, where Dallas and Houston both rank among the nation’s best party cities, it is clear that the Super Bowl is more than a game.

RotoGrinders’ Methodology
To rank the best cities for Super Bowl parties, RotoGrinders created a Super Bowl Party Score using six core metrics tied to hosting quality, fan interest, cost, food, and entertainment.
The metrics and weights are as follows.
1. Football interest (WalletHub rank): 20%
2. Snack popularity (Google Trends): 20%
3. Median home size (Realtor.com): 15%
4. Beer price (Expatistan): 15%
5. Bad Bunny search interest (Google Keyword Planner): 15%
6. Sports bars per 10,000 Residents: 15%
All of the metrics were minimum-maximum normalized to a 0-100 scale. The metrics where lower values are better in terms of beer price and football rank were inverted, so the higher scores always would reflect better party conditions. The final scores were calculated using weighted sums, and the U.S. cities were ranked from highest to lowest.
