Miami Dolphins Beat Saints After Bye Week
The Miami Dolphins beat the New Orleans Saints at home 21-17 and improved to 5-7 on the season. Mike McDaniel stuck with the run, and it paid off against the Saints.
Miami Dolphins Victorious Over Saints
It was a rough after for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, he was 12-of-13 for 157 yard and an interception. Meanwhile, Tua’s day was just nothing but bad play all Sunday afternoon. On one play after a Zach Sieler fumble recovery, Tua was looking for a scoring play with Jaylen Waddle but instead gave the ball back to the Saints on a turnover.
Tua Tagovailoa also made a bad play by missing an easy toss to Julian Hill for a first down, and he was sacked four times. The only good player on the Dolphins’ offense was De’Von Achane. Achane rushed for 134 yards, a touchdown, and it was his first time through 12 weeks making 1,000 yards on the year.
The Miami Dolphins defense played a great game, allowing only 17 points, had four sacks, a fumble recovery, and two interceptions which one of which was run back for a 2-point conversion attempt by the Saints.
Saints Comeback Shutdown
New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough tried to make a comeback for the Saints, but it fell short. Shough was 26-of-38 for 239 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Chris Olave had a 17-yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter for the Saints. The Saints did not do much on offense till pretty much the end of the game.
Shough through a 15-yard touchdown pass in the 4th quarter to Devaughn Vele, which all the Saints needed was a two-point conversion to tie the game, but it failed with an interception. The New Orleans Saints fall to 2-10.
