What Big or Interesting Drivers Should RAM Put in Their All-Star Truck for 2026?
RAM announced that for 2026, they’ll have an All-Star truck that, in their words, features big or interesting drivers in motorsports. Motorsports opens the possibility of drivers from all kinds of motorsport disciplines, plus, of course, current and former NASCAR drivers. So, out of all the drivers out there, who should RAM sign?
Robert Kubica
You can’t get much bigger or more interesting than Kubica. His story is enough to make a movie trilogy out of. From underfunded F1 talent to winning at the same track he suffered a concussion at.
From nearly losing his arm in a rally accident, coming back and winning a rally title as an owner driver with one and a half arms, to coming back to F1 and earning a point in one of the worst cars ever, to his most recent chapter of winning Le Mans with Ferrari.
His raw talent was shown in midpack teams in F1, then came all the terrible luck, but he never quit and overcame another tragedy, creating a unique career that made him more accomplished than most drivers ever will be.
It’s why he’s one of the universally popular drivers in racing. A one-off would be a PR win for RAM, but the fact that he’s a Ferrari driver makes it easier, as both Ferrari and RAM are under Stellantis. Clearing a lot of the paperwork needed for a very popular entry for RAM for 2026. He’d be perfect for the truck’s second race at Lime Rock or their first-ever race at St. Pete.
Chaz Mostert
With SVG taking the hearts of NASCAR fans and headlines around the world, it’d be smart for RAM to bring in another V8 Supercars driver. And there aren’t many better than Chaz Mostert, the two-time Bathurst 1000 winner and a 24 Hours of Daytona class winner.
Not a V8 champion like SVG is, but this isn’t the Cup Series. He could contend for wins at RCs in trucks. He’s an exciting driver with the resume and the talent, so RAM should give them a shot!
Derek Kraus
Drivers from outside the sport are always intriguing and headline-grabbing, but if RAM is serious about wanting to win in NASCAR. They should also use their All-Star truck to identify hidden talent. And not many talents are more secret than Kraus. The 2019 ARCA West champion showed talent in trucks! Having 13 top tens with a brand new MHR team, almost making the playoffs.
Instability followed as MHR transitioned from Toyota to Chevy, aligned with GMS, and then took over GMS, and Kraus transitioned from three CCs in two years. Even then, he almost made the playoffs in his final year in the #19 and always beat his teammates in points.
Almost winning at tracks like Darlington, Gateway, and Knoxville. Kraus also has a relationship with RAM’s Kaulig. Driving for them PT in Xfinity in 2023, earning 3 top tens and a stage win, and PT in Cup in 2024. Making him a perfect candidate for this truck.
Bayley Currey
RAM can’t go wrong with Bayley Currey, the 29-year-old isn’t the next cup champion in the making, but he’s shown his talent many times, especially in truck with midpack team Niece, where he’s earned multiple top fives and tens in his many PT stints. Someone with extensive experience with trucks, along with their feedback and skills, will help RAM make their trucks better while delivering results for them in 2026.
David Gravel
He’s the hottest name in sprint cars right now. He’s won the Knoxville Nationals before, and he is the current back-to-back WOO Sprint Car Series champion, showing he’s a master of dirt. Not to mention, he was supposed to be in trucks as a dev driver. Doing two starts for GMS with a debut 10th place finish at Michigan! Perhaps he can show he deserves a shot at NASCAR with RAM.
Matt DiBenedetto
The Italian American has made his first Cup Series playoff appearance as recently as 2020 and has nearly won many races in Cup. But has broken through in trucks, winning at Dega and making the truck playoffs on the same team, too. With his talent and experience, it’d be a wise move for RAM to make. Thanks a bunch for reading!
