Giants Destroy Eagles in Second Half for Huge Win
The New York Giants, led by Cam Skattebo and Jaxon Dart, came out and impressed against the Defending Super Bowl Champions Philadelphia Eagles, in a 34-17 win with the short passing game. Jalen Hurts did have a couple of huge plays that he wishes he had back, including throwing his first interception of the season late in the fourth quarter, down 10 points. The defense is not only missing Jalen Carter, but Quinyon Mitchell goes down with a hamstring injury in the second quarter of this game. This is by far the worst loss by Philadelphia over the last few seasons since the 2023 collapse. Let’s get to some quick takeaways from this game from a Philadelphia Perspective.
Quinyon Mitchell Going Down change this Game
The Eagles losing Mitchell when they did was the straw that broke the camel’s back because it left the secondary very vulnerable to the short passing, along with the Defensive Line not being able to stop the run all game long with the Jalen Carter injury, so this was a disappointing effort overall by the defense all night long, as Cam Skattebo had the game of his rookie season. And
Jalen Hurts in the Second Half Had Two Game-Defining Mistakes

Hurts played a good first half, but the second half had some crucial mistakes, but a missed opportunity for a touchdown to Devonta Smith in the third quarter, and the pick where AJ Brown appeared to be wide open over the middle of the field for another potential touchdown. This is probably the worst performance that Jalen Hurts has had in a Long Time. I think he’ll bounce back, but the next point is going to be the Final and Critical Takeaway
The Eagles Need To REVAMP THE OFFENSE or MOVE ON FROM PATULLO
The inconsistent offensive play is KILLING THIS TEAM! I know I have been a broken record for this all season long with the Patullo stuff, but the inexperience at offensive coordinator is going to cost them the season at this rate. So the Team needs to take the NEXT TEN DAYS TO reevaluate things BEFORE FACING THE VIKINGS, OR I’m PULLING MY HAIR OUT! ALSO, THE O-LINE and D-LINE PLAY ALSO HAVE TO MASSIVELY IMPROVE AS WELL.
Final Thoughts
Let me calm down now. The Eagles still have a shot to turn everything around, but the COACHING NEEDS TO COORDINATE and CHANGE THINGS, ALSO HOWIE HAS TO EITHER GET A CORNERBACK OR AN EDGE! Plus, they need to get healthy. So it will remain to be seen how this team bounces back. BAD NIGHT!
