Buffalo Bills Fan Who Shoved Ravens Players Is Banned From NFL Stadiums
The Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens’ Sunday night game was nothing short of incredible. The Buffalo Bills were down by 15+ points in the fourth quarter to come storming back and kick a game-winning field goal. It seemed like half the stadium left when fans saw a 40-25 score. I am sure those fans regret leaving and missing one of the most exciting comebacks in football. However, there is one particular Bills fan who will not be allowed in any NFL stadium after the shenanigans he pulled with Baltimore Ravens players.
Buffalo Bills Fan Banned From NFL Stadiums
The Buffalo Bills fan who shoved both DeAndre Hopkins and Lamar Jackson after the Ravens scored a touchdown on Sunday night has been banned indefinitely from NFL stadiums, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
As Hopkins and his teammates were celebrating the one-handed touchdown he hauled in, a fan in the Highmark Stadium crowd could be seen hitting the wide receiver on the helmet. Jackson also got his head shoved. He showed no mercy and shoved the fan back. The fan ultimately got ejected from the stadium.
Jackson did comment after the game that he should not have retaliated and let security handle the situation. He said, “I just let my emotions get the best of me. But hopefully it doesn’t happen again.”
The Situation Was Safely Handled
While it’s not the best look for Buffalo for a fan to do that, the Bills took the correct action quickly. There is no room for such actions. There is no reason for fans to be assaulting players at a game. The fan who shoved Jackson and Hopkins has not been named, but has been indefinitely banned from going to any stadiums across the NFL.
The Buffalo Bills are 1-0 on the season and will play the New York Jets, while the Baltimore Ravens will hope to get their first win of the season against divisional rivals, the Cleveland Browns.
