Valuable NFL Franchises Ranked (21-27)
It is that time of year for every NFL franchise’s valuation numbers to be revealed. Sportico released the ranking of every franchise’s dollar value, and the rankings brought the wow factor when analyzing them. There are many teams at below average range, but others that weren’t. The teams below are ranked from 21st to 27th when comparing them to every NFL team.
21. Los Angeles Chargers- $6.21 Billion
The Chargers don’t make as much money as the Los Angeles Rams, but they still make a decent amount. $6.21 billion. While Dean Spanos isn’t the most likable owner, it’s hard to deny that the Chargers are growing in value. Heck, they even rose one spot in the rankings this year. It is interesting to wonder whether this NFL franchise would be valued more or less if it had stayed in San Diego.
22. Tennessee Titans- $6.2 Billion
The Titans were .01 billion dollars less valuable than the Los Angeles Chargers, which has to sting a bit. However, with the Titans’ new stadium being built, it won’t be ready till 2027. Those expenses have to be extremely high, and it wouldn’t be a surprise when that stadium gets done, the Titans will rise in value.
23 Cleveland Browns- $6.14 Billion
The Cleveland Browns are a franchise that has made a ton of mistakes since returning to the NFL in 1999. However, the organization is valued at a nice price and rose 19% in value. The Browns, as a result, stay at the same spot as the 23rd valued team in the NFL.
24 Baltimore Ravens- $6 Billion
This one was a surprise as Baltimore finally hit the $6 billion mark. Many would think the Ravens would have had a much higher value with the two Super Bowls they have won, but it doesn’t. At least their value rose 17% from last year to this year.
25. Detroit Lions- $5.88 Billion
The Lions saw their value increase substantially. They went from being the 28th most valued team in the NFL to the 25th-ranked team. Their NFL franchise valuation rose 19% as a result. That is a positive for a team that has been a contender in the Dan Campbell era.
26. Buffalo Bills- $5.87 Billion
The Bills surprisingly remained in the same spot they were last year as the 26th most valued NFL franchise. They are going to be an interesting one to keep an eye on for two reasons. The first is to see how much their value will rise once their new stadium is completed. The second is what their value will rise to if the team wins a Super Bowl and fixes their playoff struggles. Only time will tell in that department.
27. Carolina Panthers- $5.76 Billion
Carolina has had many things go wrong during the David Tepper era. Unfortunately for them, this year they dropped from the 24th most valuable NFL franchise to 27th. On the positive note, they are still rising in value with a 12% increase.
Final Thoughts On 21st-27th Ranked NFL Franchises
Unfortunately for the seven above, it is below average regarding valuation in the NFL. Luckily, it is a great deal for any NFL franchise to be making. At least the teams above are not the Top five least valuable in the league; that’s a positive for them. Total Apex Sports covers NFL content, transactions, and other news.
