Minnesota Vikings Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson Suffers Hamstring Injury
Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell announced earlier today that star Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson suffered a mild hamstring strain at training camp. He will be re-evaluated next week. The recovery for a mild hamstring strain is usually 1-3 weeks. How will the Minnesota Vikings fare this season?
Minnesota Vikings Season Outlook
Minnesota will enter 2025 with lower expectations. The Vikings shockingly won 14 games last season. They opted to move off Quarterback Sam Darnold and turned to J.J. McCarthy to lead the squad. Only time will tell if that was the correct decision.
McCarthy will need a healthy Jefferson to have the Minnesota Vikings reach their full potential in 2025. Jefferson and Jordan Addison make up one of the most formidable receiving duos in the league. Tight End T.J. Hockenson is also one of the best players in the league at his position.
Final Thoughts
It is a positive sign that O’Connell expressed no concern about Jefferson’s status for Week 1 of the regular season. Jefferson will take the next few weeks and be 100% for what he hopes is another All-Pro-caliber year.
