Washington Wizards Sign Marvin Bagley III

The Washington Wizards continue to make moves in an attempt to bolster their roster as ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the team has signed big man Marvin Bagley III to a one-year contract. Bagley was part of the Wizards last season as he played in 19 games before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in February at the NBA Trade Deadline. Bagley is now entering his eighth NBA season after being drafted with the second pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and has averaged 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.6 blocks per game in 22.4 minutes.

This could be a position where Bagley is able to take the next step and be competitive as the roster does not have a lot of expectations heading into the season. With Khris Middleton, Jordan Pool, Malcolm Brogdon, and Marcus Smart all on the roster, this is a good spot for him to be positioned down low and improve his game.
