New York Liberty Lone Unbeaten Team Left With 9-0 Mark

Tuesday Night, the New York Liberty reached 9-0 for their best mark in franchise history after defeating the Chicago Sky. After the Lynx’s loss to the Storm on Wednesday Night, the Liberty are now the lone unbeaten team left in the W at this moment in time. A couple of weeks ago, we had a debate piece on whose the best team between these two teams. I think it’s looking like I was proven right, as the defending Champions are the best team in the WNBA at this moment in time.

Both Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu are playing like the two players who are the leaders of the team. Jonquel Jones is also fulfilling the third option role really well at this particular time. Natasha Cloud has been the perfect replacement for Courtney Vandersloot as the other guard besides Ionescu as that veteran guard presence that stabilizes the offense, and Cloud’s defense is an upgrade over Vandersloot’s defensive ability. 

The Liberty is currently averaging 90.4 points per game, which leads the league. They also currently lead the League in field goal percentage, blocks per game, and steals per game as a team.
