Indianapolis Colts Top Three Must Watch Games For 2025 NFL Season
The Indianapolis Colts have officially released their 2025 NFL schedule, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead. The Colts will look to build upon their 8-9 season from last year under the leadership of Head Coach Shane Steichen. The team opens the season with two AFC teams at home, the Miami Dolphins and the Denver Broncos. Fans can look forward to a season full of highlights and big moments. Here are three must-watch matchups for the team in the 2025 season.
Week 2- Denver Broncos At Home
The Colts will look to get revenge on this team after last season’s loss at Denver, which cost the team lose their playoff spot. This will be a game that Running Back Jonathan Taylor will be looking forward after his brain fart on the goal line and fumble the ball in a 20-7 lead at Empower Field. The team lost that game and also lost their playoff spot in that game last December. This is also the first time the team will open the season with back-to-back games at Lucas Oil Stadium. It will be rocking on September 14 at 4:05 PM.
Week 10- Atlanta Falcons In Berlin
This will be the team’s second game in Germany in three seasons, as they last played the Patriots in Frankfurt in 2023. This time, it will be against the Michael Penix Jr.-led Atlanta Falcons in Berlin. This game will be played at Olympic Stadium, the site of the 1936 Olympics and Jesse Owens’ four gold-medal heroics. The Falcons are also coming off an 8-9 record in 2024, but the Colts hold the series record over them, with it being 15-3 all-time. The game will kick off at 9:30 AM on NFL Network and should be a great battle of young teams.
Week 18- At the Houston Texans
The AFC South rival that has had the Colts number the last couple of seasons, but as a lifelong fan of Indy, I remember a time when the Texans never won against the Colts. This will more than likely come down to this game for the AFC South title and a spot in the NFL Playoffs. The Colts own the series with a 33-13-1 record against the Texans. Will the Horseshoe finally get over the hurdle that is Houston, or will it still be Houston’s AFC South? The answer to that will come in Week 18 of the 2025 NFL season.
Final Thoughts
My final thoughts on the team’s 2025 schedule are that the team could have a 10-7 record by Week 18. The Colts’ Week 1 opponent is the Miami Dolphins, and the team has not won a season opener since a 2013 win over the Raiders. This is the next step toward the start of the 2025 NFL season. The next question for the Colts is who will be QB 1: Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones? Only time will tell. Stay tuned to Total Apex for all your Colts news.
