Shedeur Sanders Officially Arrives For First Cleveland Browns Practice
Shedeur Sanders has been one of the most talked-about fifth-round picks in NFL history. His draft slide has been talked about ad nauseam on all the major sports networks. No matter what the opinion is on Sanders, there is a common thread in all the arguments. The Colorado quarterback has to deal with the situation and fight for the starting job. That starts with the rookie minicamp. Sanders officially arrived at the facility this morning for the first practice.

The Cleveland Browns may not have found their starting quarterback in Shedeur Sanders, but they did find a way to get all eyes to focus on their social media channels. They made sure to capture the quarterback arriving at the team facility this morning ahead of the first rookie minicamp practices. This will be the first opportunity for Sanders to prove to the rest of the league that they made a mistake passing on him.
There are even higher stakes given that his direct competition will also be in attendance. The Cleveland Browns took Dillon Gabriel 94th overall, two rounds before Shedeur Sanders, and head coach Kevin Stefanski has hinted there will be an open competition. If Sanders can clearly outplay Gabriel over the weekend, it could give him the inside track when training camp rolls around.
Doing Everything Right
After a disappointing slide, Sanders could have responded poorly. However, he has done just the opposite. While today he arrived at the team facility for the first time, he has been in Cleveland for awhile. He made an appearance at a Browns themed gym and spoke to students at John Marshall High School. His message has been positive, centered around bringing a championship to the city of Cleveland. Say what you want about him, but he is doing the right thing for a fifth round rookie.
Final Thoughts
All eyes will be on the Cleveland Browns rookie minicamp this week. Whether he does well or not, there will be plenty of talk about his performance over the weekend.
