The Best Drivers at Kansas in the Cup Series 2025
This weekend NASCAR returns to Kansas, which has become the most exciting track on NASCAR’s schedule with the next-gen car. With historic finishes and exciting moves becoming the norm at the 1.5 miler. Which drivers are best at this track? However, that’s what I searched and found out, lucky for you!
We Begin with Fan-Favorite Chase Elliott
There’s been a lot of talk of the Elliott’s lack of wins since 2022, but Kansas presents a great chance to right that wrong. He’s won here before in 2018, but his 10.1 average finish in 18 races here shows a second win here is long overdue for Chase and the nine team. His teammates at Hendrick Motorsports have been tearing up the intermediates as well, winning 5 races at that track type in 2025 and 2024, including Elliott at Texas in 2024.
Next is Fan-Despised Denny Hamlin
It’s him against the world, and the world has been losing a lot recently. Hamlin already had a win streak earlier this year, even defending his home turf at Martinsville and following that up with a runner-up finish at Bristol. He could easily continue his hot streak at the track; he has the 2nd best average finish out of all full-time drivers and has had many great moments at Kansas. Such as his wins in 2012, 2019, and 2020, and his controversial win in 2023, wrecking Larson and seeing his own driver Reddick win on a last-lap pass in his car.
He’s one of the most experienced drivers in the field, which means he’s turned more laps here than most, so there’ll be a great chance he’ll turn his 56 career wins into 57 this week.
Third is Michigan’s Brad Keselowski
It’s been a terrible start to the season for Super Brad. 32nd in the standings, he looks far from the same driver who won the 2012 championship. Kansas provides him with a chance to begin a midseason resurgence for him and his No. 6 team. His impressive average finish of 12.5 makes him the third-best full-time driver in the field here. His two wins here, such as the classic 2019 win, also show it’s more than consistency; he can win here in the right car with the right setup and some good luck for once.
Fourth is the Living Legend, Kyle Larson
The 2021 champion is well known for dominating performances at these tracks. I’m sure it’s no surprise he’s got the 4th-best average finish out of all full-time drivers at Kansas. With two wins, a 13.0 average finish, and a Hendrick car below him. He should be everyone’s favorite for winning this weekend.
