The Dallas Cowboys have had a season to forget. They have had subpar play on the field on both sides of the ball. On offense, Dak Prescott and company have not been as explosive as last year. The defense has not been able to stop opposing offenses. A big part of the struggles has been injuries. Many of their top players have suffered season-ending injuries. Prescott, Zack Martin, Demarvion Overshown, and many others are done for the year. The Cowboys got bad news this weekend on another star player. Cornerback Trevon Diggs is done of the year with a knee injury.

Trevon Diggs missed 15 games last year with a torn ACL. He has been in and out of the lineup this season with minor injuries. On Saturday, it was announced that he would miss the upcoming game against the Panthers. However, the news got worse from there. Jay Glazer reported that Diggs would miss their week 15 game and the rest of them. He said the cornerback is undergoing knee surgery and will miss the rest of the year.
This is yet another devastating blow for the Dallas Cowboys. While this team was not expected to make the playoffs at this point, there was still plenty to play for. At this point, the team looks destined for a top-ten pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. At some point, there are only so many players a team can lose. A terrible season with so many injuries leaves many questions heading into the offseason.

The first question for the Dallas Cowboys this offseason is one people have been asking for the last two years. Will Mike McCarthy be the head coach next year? They will get some high draft picks, but relying on rookies is risky business. With how much money they have tied up in players like Trevon Diggs, there is limited room to sign big-name free agents.
