Fittpalid has been seeking other opportunities and will test for a spot with Arrow McLaren alongside his 23-year-old brother Enzo, who is opting for an Indy career. On the contrary, the genuine concern with a possible move that only gives Rahal Lanigan Letterman racing is that it gives them only four months before the start of the upcoming season to find a replacement.
The team is all about making money and earning sponsors, and without anyone behind the wheel of the No. 30, this won’t happen. Even so, it’s rumored that 24-year-old Devlin DeFrancesco will take over the seat in the Dallara Honda next season as Fittpaldi eyes other options. Even though he knows transitioning so late in the game will be complex, he’s up for the challenge and the possibility of competing with his younger brother.
