The Winnipeg Jets have announced that Bryan Little is signing a one-day contract with the Jets to retire with the team. Bryan Little has been a huge part of the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets history, Brian Little was the 12th overall selection in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers. Bryan Little On Retiring With The Winnipeg Jets
Little had this to say as he announced his retirement from the league:
“It’s a great honour that I can retire as a member of the Winnipeg Jets and end my playing career with the organization where I was drafted and played my entire NHL career,” said Little.
“I had the privilege to play in Winnipeg and in front of the amazing fans for nine seasons, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to thank the Jets, their fans and the city of Winnipeg. It will truly be a full circle moment for my family and I to celebrate my retirement in the building where I have so many special memories.”
Bryan Little played all of his 843 NHL games as a member of the Thrashers/Jets organization putting up 217 goals, and 304 assists for 521 points in his NHL career. Bryan Little ranks highly in many categories for the franchise, he’s second in games played, fifth in goals, third in assists, and fourth in points all-time. Little will be celebrated by the team on October 20 when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins.
