Conor McGregor recently appeared in Daniel Dubois’s boxing match against Anthony Joshua. Michael Bisping and Anthony Smith talked about McGregor’s appearance in boxing and things he did near the ring. In one of the podcasts famously known as “Believe You Me” featuring Michael Bisping a retired British MMA fighter and Anthony Smith retired American fellow fighter, they had some humor about McGregor’s behavior in a massive boxing event at the Wembley Stadium in London this Saturday.
Bisping Talks about Conor McGregor
They talked about the moment when Conor McGregor jumped out of his seat happily and shouted. People believed that he had a massive bet on Dubois that he’d knock out Joshua, and that is exactly what happened.
Michael Bisping said this about Conor McGregor . “Conor, you would have thought that he was a big Daniel Dubois fan because when Joshua was getting those [punches], he was out of his seat. Maybe the cigar might have even got lit. Walking in with a big cigar, unlit, between the teeth. How do we feel about that? Because two words spring to mind right now: Douche. Bag.”
Smith Talks about Conor McGregor
Smith confessed that watching Conor McGregor chewing on an unlit cigar was hilarious and asked when the former two-division kingpin turned into such a laughingstock. The good news for McGregor’s fans is that “The Notorious” continues to make statements about his intention to return to action despite not being active since July 2021.
Smith said this on the podcast. “I don’t know what happens to people or when you change or how much money you have to have to start doing weird, douch-y shit like that,” Smith said. “Like, how rich do you have to be to wear your sunglasses inside 24/7? For what? I wish I was five percent as cool as he thinks he is. Like, how do you get to be so cool? I don’t know, I don’t get it. And I don’t want to just talk shit on Conor, but come on, bro. Come on.”
Specifically, at the boxing event on Saturday, Conor McGregor admitted he still wishes to fight his opponent, Michael Chandler. Dave Feldman of BKFC disclosed that McGregor even wanted to compete in bare-knuckle boxing after his contract with the UFC ended.
Final Thoughts
So far, he has two more fights to fight before he is free from the UFC. Bisping and Smith must have found aspects about the match, but here, we just saw McGregor chilling around. If we talk about the fans, McGregor has already lost a lot of respect by not doing what he has said.
The fans are still waiting for Conor McGregor to return to the cage. Although he has often mentioned that he’ll return in 2024, Dana White has stated clearly that he will not return before 2025. Will Conor McGregor return in 2024 or 2025? Feel free to use the comment section.
